This is as Kevin mentioned one of those childhood stories I remember a little differently. And like you Greg I find plenty that is difficult to explain outside of supernatural (Like a dove flying the entire globe in 7 days). I hate wondering, but I can't help it. Why does God use a dove if he's just controlling it? Why the spectacle? Does the dove even actually fly around? It's kind of like if a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody there to hear it does it make a sound? Regardless after Noah gets clear instruction from God to build an ark, he uses a dove and a raven to tell him when things are clearing up. Sometimes I feel like that, like God has given me some direction but then is so hard to find further direction and I start to question everything. Sometimes God finds us, other times we have to find Him I guess.
