I'm struck again at Paul's confidence in his purpose. He always seems to know exactly what he's supposed to be doing and what it is God does and does not want him to be doing or where he should be going. It doesn't seem like it's any kind of moral cues but rather I get the feeling he's got the two way communication thing with God down pat. Even when I'm reading, and praying, I definitely feel as though I've only gotten as far as the sending part, and not yet figured out the receiving part except in infrequent, but sometimes clear moments. I remember reading Charles Stanley's Spirit Filled Life a couple years back and reading a chapter where he talks about the potential of every action you take, down to the route you take when you drive to work, being guided by the spirit. He made a solid case for it if I remember, but it still seems like a unattainable thing. I pray, someday it isn't.
