I'm reminded of the phrase "I never knew you." How many people will just be confused when this day comes. How many are just confused when they die? As fervently as we believe in Jesus there are people just as fervent that God can't be real, and of course many are just ambivalent. I don't know how our minds work after we die. We have no brains anymore... when we are old our brains starting going anyway. I take care of some fish tanks in a "memory care" facility where most of the people there have very little cognitive ability anymore. Are their minds restored to peak condition? Do they still have a mind or do we just enter a state of being. Will we know regret or retrace our steps. Doesn't seem like there would be any purpose to that. Of course we don't really know, and I sort of feel like a 7 year old thinking about these things tonight. But hey, why not, Isaiah isn't giving me a lot else.
