This book is all about questions but so far not a lot of answers. These guys are definitely trying their best to figure how God is interacting with then and they are totally clueless. I can relate.

I love it when this happens. Job responded pretty much the way I did. He sees the simple truth that the wicked do prosper at least in the short term. Though short term relatively he still describes as multiple generations. To say any blessings are a result of our own righteousness or the opposite to me seems very arrogant which is what his friends have done. I think this is an issue I've seen in church and small groups and friends. But they correlate their physical prosperity to their spiritual effort. And maybe it gets said about our country too. Like Job, I don't think Jesus or the bible supports the link between spirituality and prosperity, and neither does the visible evidence.
