It's very peculiar the detail we get about our beginnings.. I wish that the first few chapters of Genesis were expanded to several books.

The serpent started out walking from the b way I read it. Dragon at first?
The first sin was basically discontentment. Even though they had it all. That's still where a lot of my problems start. How much of our days are driven by a desire to have more or be more. How many half truths do we tell ourselves as we make mediocre decisions. I read a book recently (Christian in nature) about life planning. There was a lot of wisdom in it but I was bothered by the fact that it was all about trying to achieve more... even if it wasn't about achieving money. Eve was desiring knowledge beyond what God had given her. Doesn't sound that bad... but it led to a huge mistake. Knowledge isn't bad I don't think. I'm not sure where the line between contentment and laziness is. I'm sure that it has a lot to do with listening to the Holy Spirit though.
