Based on this chapter it appears that Paul wrote a previous letter (I Corinthians?) that was fairly confrontational and pissed them off a little. What a difficult thing to do and even Paul shows some signs of trepidation in the results. I pray for wisdom to know when to open my mouth and when to keep it shut. Writing letters/emails can be particularly challenging for me in this regard and in the past I've created some drama with employees or partners that didn't need to be there had I shown a little more patience, and I suppose prayer.
