One thing I noticed in this chapter is that people always tried to outsmart Jesus. Sadly, sometimes I do the same thing. Jesus always corrects their frame of mind and it makes sense. I need to remember this when I can't get my head around something. The second thing I thought was that I didn't really know what it meant to "love" God. Love is such a broad word with so many applications. What is the difference between loving God the three ways Jesus mentions? How does my soul love God differently than my heart? Are these choices I make or just natural developments of my relationship? Looking at the Father/Son relationship, I love my dad but not for any specific reasons per say, it's partially a choice but partially just an inherent part of me. Not sure where I'm going with that.
