Some wild things happening in the future. Not to beat a dead horse but all I can think of is why then. God had a very physical presence with the Israelites (at times). And he plans on a very physical presence toward the end of the earth. Physical presence with Jesus. In my life, creation in it's every day form is the closest I feel like I've come to seeing God's presence.

I'm still in Las Vegas where the temporary always takes precedent over the future. This chapter describes the demise of even the more permanent things we tend to focus on. I'm not going to say the physical doesn't matter because otherwise why would god have put us here. But this is a reminder that the physical things in life are not worth all that they demand of us, anxiety, jealousy, lust. We have that security promised to us so we can devote our limited attention to more important things.
