This chapter was a little confusing. But the gist seems to be these guys weren't patient enough for the promised land and settled half way (after a little negotiating). I wish that I knew what God's best was for me... my promised land so to say. Haven't figured that out yet but hopefully its on God's agenda to show me what the promised land looks like nowadays. I certainly know what I want it to look like =) But is my vision these middle pastures that Gad and Reuben thinks looks so grand but pales in comparison.

Must have been hard for the people to be good followers. They had to trust God, but they also had to trust Moses and the other leadership. As far as I know, they didn't really have the holy spirit right? I mean, did they even have the Bible? It would have been really hard when something didn't seem wise but was to be followed in what I'd call blind faith against better judgment when you are trusting men who are really just as flawed as anyone else.
