God seems to be shutting down Job and his friends here. Comparing all of their witless arguments against his own knowledge. If our potential for understanding and knowledge is so limited, what hope do we have. Trust in God, try to get the help of the Holy Spirit, and hope for the best.

If I'm being honest this doesn't seem all that impressive to a believer. If you already believe that God created everything, why would you be surprised that the ox obeys. The only reason I can see why these chapters exist might be because back then they didn't really know much about God. On top of that, the people believed in other gods who had powers. I guess God is just one upping the power factor of those other gods in no uncertain terms.
