I've heard that God's purpose for the law was to help us understand how much we needed Him. Perhaps this book also serves that purpose to an extent. Its a sobering thought, but without God, what are we? We are just maggots. Maggots acting on instinct. Worms tunneling in the dirt. God is our hope. God help me find meaning and give my time value here on earth. Let me know what to do. Show me the ways that make me better than a worm. Overwhelm my life and be with me daily. Do not leave me to my own worminess.

Even before we needed redemption, God created us and the stars as good and pure. "And God saw that it was good". Bildad is running out of fuel. But without God, which is what we are without Christ, worms in the end.
