I wish I knew the source of Job's faith. Tradition maybe? But where does he come up with this stuff? He had no bible. Three other people tell him things that he rejects confidently but in what grounds? Who was he to be right and then wrong?

My mom will still use her age as proof she is wiser than me. Had many good spiritual discussions with her while I was camping past couple weeks and many ended with that. I think we all have wisdom in different ways. Our lives are all so different that the wisdom that applies to my life can be totally useless in someone else's life. Where it gets interesting to me is wisdom on spiritual matters where there is clearly an absolute truth we are all grasping for. Wisdom in some ways grows generationally, though some might argue wisdom is lost too. Looking at the whole, we've come a long way I think (if the fictional medieval tv shows I like to watch have any truth). Things that were revolutionary like Martin Luther's revolt against the Catholic church which at the time seemed almost ludicrous are now things we consider foundational to our beliefs. What sorts of things that we believe and practice now are going to be considered crazy in another 500 years. As old and as wise as we get, I think we have to stay humble and always seeking truth.
