The story of Israel is an important part of what we believe. I always see people post in the comments of news articles how the bible teaches crazy things like what happens in this chapter. There are no good guys here. It's just history, it's what made the Jews who they are and is pay off what makes us who we are. But in my opinion no real lesson to be learned other than the obvious.
