Not much to say other than this is a theme in our church and the importance of our stories. God's participation in our lives is certainly a reason to celebrate. Should we temper that celebration at all for the sake of others? I know for non-believers it can come across as a number of negative things from self-righteous to delusional. I always get stuck at the question, do I care what "the world" thinks? Of course I do, but should I? If I am a representative of life with Jesus... and it's not very favorably looked on... that can't be good. But then, "the world" has different values and different ways of thinking about things that will never accept certain things we believe. Complicated.

This song is kind of interesting because it's praising people more than God. While God gets the glory ultimately, it does seem like you have to celebrate the decisions we make as followers too.
