This book is a good reminder to me that God is a part of everything. Sometimes I mentally separate faith from the normal things in life. It's kind of like how movies offer such a distorted view of people and reality That you just understand there is a disconnect. A lot of times the bible is like that for me in that its set in a place and time and mindset that is so disconnected from my reality that it feels like a movie. Ironically, song of Solomon as dramatic as it is feels like a needed connection between the bible and reality. Solomon is a guy with his heart set on a girl purely because she's hot. She's got her sights set on another guy. That's a common human scenario that god wanted us to know about and read. And for some reason that just gives me some comfort.

You've got me laughing tonight.
