Dog you answered some of the questions I had to some degree but I still find it really hard to know when to trust and when to take things in to my own hands. I never really know when God is involved. A very basic example is work. In business I have a lot of control over outcomes. When things start to spiral I can work overtime to bring them back under control. Am I to trust that God will intervene and bring them back under control with me having to work so hard? Seems unlikely that God is that intricately involved in the outcomes, after all my choices have testable and practical outcomes right. If I do x, y happens. Isn't that what wisdom is? Knowing those outcomes? I guess maybe this only applies when you have clear instructions from God. I'm not sure I get those very often.

I often feel bad for Saul. It seems like he got dragged into all this and has no idea what he's doing. He doesn't seem all that ambitious at least thus far. We don't always control our circumstances, I suppose it boils down to trusting God regardless of where you are at.
