Faithfulness was the word for me today. I had to look it up to see what it meant for us today, as it seemed more tangible to the Israelites who had many immediate and physical promises from God. One example that was a great one for me was this, 2 Thessalonians 3:3 - “The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” And "1 Corinthians 10:13 - “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so you can stand up under it.” I was also thinking about Verse 1, singing of the evidence of his faithfulness to future generations. In order to know and experience his faithfulness you have to put trust in him. Maybe I need to gamble a little more in my life... not the money gambling, but faith gambling... which maybe isn't really a gamble but sometimes feels like it. But the "leaps of faith" if you will are the experiences that will give you something to sing about to future generations.
