Ah, a breath of fresh air. Ezekiel was getting me down a bit. David makes me feel better about being on the rollercoaster of having a thirsty soul that has run dry to being satisfied with the cup of living water and everything in between. Update: I've decided not to relocate my family to a tent in the Northside parking lot. I think through various discussions I've had with you guys and others, and with some research, the conclusion is its okay to be self serving, at least until the Holy Spirit gives you directions otherwise. So for now, I'm just grateful for what He's given me, gonna be a good steward, take care of my physical and emotional needs, and enjoy life, for the glory of God as an act of worship.

Jesus teachings do seem at odds with some of David's emotions. But David needed Jesus too so that shouldn't surprise us. He didn't have Jesus teachings either. I was actually wondering if he had the book of Job which might have given him some helpful guidance. Anyway, some good words and a good challenge Tony.

Many things in life are like that deer. We work our butts off and focus all our attention on that goal and then realize we had missed something more important around us when we find a pause in the pursuit.
