I read this chapter in college at a time I needed some direction and the phrase from vs 14 has stuck with me over the years. "Seek peace and pursue it." My body mind and spirit are at constant war with each other and I think I envision peace as as the time when these three elements surrendering together. What encourage me about this verse and chapter and the book of psalms in general is that it doesn't necessarily justify, but at least, connects with the lack of that and the journey and struggle it can be to seek and pursue it.

You are on the right track Greg. This is a great chapter. Many are the afflictions of the righteous... But we are delivered from them. Saved or not we all live in the same world and suffer the same consequences of sin in the world. I'm glad to have someone to car my car upon in my pursuit of peace.
