I find it interesting the switch between practicality and faith. On the way over with all the gold and silver they didn't take any guards because they had faith god would protect them. Instead they fasted and prayed. Now they are actually conscripting guards to uproot their lives and move in. Where is that line? Is it just a matter of listening to the spirit? Is it a developed wisdom?
