I can relate to this Psalm. I know there are those who find their faith an intellectual practice, however, for me I only get frustrated by trying to figure out God with my human brain. It's when I give credit to my emotions and my instincts, my heart and my soul that I'm drawn to Him. This Psalm has those elements of looking for God in the physical (vs1 Seeking his face, vs2 & 4comparing the success of his enemies, vs3 looking for concrete answers), and then vs5 surrendering and trusting with a rejoicing heart. Though, the last verse sort of throws off my analysis as he basically saying he will sing because of the good things God has done for him, which in the previous verses he's complaining about how terrible things are for him. Maybe its just an attitude shift or maybe its an actual change of circumstances. Can't really say.

Feeling down, out, and forgotten- the author pulls his attitude around by being grateful. Worked 3000 years ago and still works today.
