I'm a little surprised God gave Joseph an Egyptian priestess for a wife. I also found the verse that says What God is about to do, in reference to the famine. I have been leaning towards the view of God that he doesn't directly cause suffering. Rather, like in the case of Job, its more the absence of God where suffering happens. This suggests however something a little different at least on a surface reading. Not sure its a game changer or anything, but I'm tucking it away. Those two things being said, I agree with all the positive things you guys got out of this chapter.

I liked that the dream came in a pair. Discerning the voice of God for me is very difficult but I think that when it's really God he makes a bigger show of it.
